After careful consideration and in the interest of caution and safety, we are announcing that we will not be able to have the annual Flat Rock Riverfest in September due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are obviously disappointed as we know many people will be as well. We hope to be able to announce our plans for 2021 in the weeks/months ahead. Thank you for your understanding we hope see you at future Flat Rock events.

Out of an abundance of caution we have chosen to cancel the 2020 Flat Rock Summer Blast in June due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are considering holding a smaller scale event in September if conditions allow for it at that time. We’d like to sincerely thank everyone for their support over the years and we hope to hold a great festival for the community in the future. The 2020 Flat Rock Summer Blast will be held June 12-14th at the beautiful Huroc Park along the Huron River in Flat Rock, Michigan. This is a FREE festival, open to the public, and fun for all ages!

In addition to the free entertainment throughout the park, the 2020 Flat Rock Summer Blast also features concerts from great regional artists, fireworks (Friday), free family entertainment, a huge beer tent, delicious food concessions, demonstrations from local youth activity groups, arts and crafts, and much more!

The 2019 Flat Rock Summer Blast will be held this weekend, June 7-9th, at the beautiful Huroc Park along the Huron River in Flat Rock, Michigan. This is a FREE festival, open to the public, and fun for all ages!

In addition to the free concerts and entertainment throughout the park, the 2019 Ford Flat Rock Summer Blast also features fireworks (Friday night), a carnival midway by Anderson Midways, Shell Camino Monster Truck shows and rides, the Cruzin Flat Rock car and truck show (Saturday), a huge beer tent, delicious food concessions, demonstrations from local youth activity groups, arts and crafts, mascot visits, yoga in the park (Saturday) and much, much more!

Free shuttle services to and from the festival are available at the Flat Rock High School and the Flat Rock Plaza (Telegraph Rd.).

Carnival wristband coupons are available at many local Flat Rock businesses, as well as The News Herald newspaper (June 5 edition). On behalf of the entire festival committee and our wonderful community sponsors, we look forward to seeing you all this weekend at Summer Blast!

This years festival will feature three days of family fun and entertainment – including fireworks, carnival rides, incredible entertainment, large beer tent and great food! The 2018 Flat Rock Riverfest presented by Meijer will take place September 14, 15 and 16th at the beautiful Huroc Park, located along the Huron River in downtown Flat Rock. This years festival will feature three days of family fun and entertainment – including fireworks, carnival rides, incredible entertainment, large beer tent and great food! Entertainment includes concerts from the Mega 80’s, Atomic Radio and War Machine, as well as incredible performances from the Detroit Circus and Snap Boogie! (Fireworks will take place during the intermission of the Atomic Radio concert.)

We are thrilled to announce Nashville country music sensation LINDSAY ELL will be performing at the 2018 Ford Flat Rock Summer Blast on Saturday, June 9^th!

Named one of The Huffington Post’s “Top Country Artists to Watch,” Lindsay Ell is a triple threat: accomplished musician, unique vocalist and songwriter. The Calgary native learned to play guitar while traveling with her father to country-bluegrass camps as a young girl. Ell honed her craft as a musical stylist and songwriter after being discovered by BTO and The Guess Who’s Randy Bachman (“American Woman” / “Taking Care of Business”) who discovered her at the age of 13. The multi-instrumentalist was soon touring alongside the likes of Luke Bryan, Buddy Guy, The Band Perry and Keith Urban, as well as wowing audiences as Carrie Underwood’s guitar player live on the “50th Annual CMA Awards” and holding her own alongside icon Melissa Etheridge on Skyville Live.

A 2016 CMT Music Award and multiple Canadian Country Music Award nominee, Ell exhilarated audiences from coast-to-coast as part of the 2016 CMT Next Women of Country Tour, Brad Paisley’s 2017 and 2018 WEEKEND WARRIOR WORLD TOUR, and will soon join SUGARLAND’S STILL THE SAME TOUR. Ell’s first full-length album The Project debuted at No. 1 on the Country Album Sales Chart in August 2017 and was recently lauded as Billboard’s ‘BEST COUNTRY ALBUM OF 2017.’ Ell’s current single “Criminal” was the Most Added song at Country radio on its impact date and is currently Top 20 and fast-rising. “Criminal” also reached #1 in Canada, which hadn’t been done from a solo female in over 10 years.
